Polling results released Wednesday, less than six weeks away from November's Election Day, show that a majority of Americans want to ditch the Electoral College and "would instead prefer to see the winner of the presidential election be the person who wins the most votes nationally."

The Electoral College has actually been doing the exact opposite of what the founders created it for. It was created so that presumably the electors would be wiser than the voters and nullify a bad choice like Convicted Sex Offender Treason Trump. Instead it literally allowed him to be elected without a majority of votes.
