No idea, it's not a big deal so I've never looked into it beyond my doctor saying it's harmless. It doesn't hurt or anything it's just kind of startling. Honestly it's so minor that the fart story makes up for the 2 decades any inconvenience it caused lol

Have you ever been falling asleep (or dreaming) and felt like you were falling so you instinctively extend your limbs and wake yourself up? It's like that but it's a noise. The weird thing is how REAL it sounds. Indistinguishable without context

Also I don't recall it ever waking me up from sleep (like a falling dream would). Pretty sure it's always been as I'm drifting off

That’s weird and cool at the same time. It’s like you have a sleep paralysis angel that makes you fart.

As long as you still get a good nights rest then it’s all good. Take care of yourself man.
