I have rewatched the murder scene again. And I am totally lost on everything that happened.

Some thoughts and observationsa) the one who claims is the father is alive
~~b) he is a different person than the murderer~~
b2) totally forgot about the manipulator
c) the one with DNA match (murder-suicide) is also totally different person.

So Aqua convinced himself that the murderer & father is already dead. And feels free to pursue happiness.

Akane want's to support her boyfriend(?) and would try to steer him off from revenge

What is the Truth? What is the Lie? Does objective truth exists, or is it all just a believable fiction fabricated by the human mind?


There are a lot of red herrings and I am all for it.

Yeah, in case it wasn't clear to people, the person that murdered Ai is not the father, merely a stalker that somebody had been feeding information to. Aqua believes that the informant has to be his father, thus the revenge arc. After Ai's murder, the stalker ended up committing suicide, so there wasn't any way to get information about the source of the leaked information.
