YouTube has increased the prices of its Premium plan for individuals in the U.S. from $11.99 per month to $13.99 per month.

Wonder when they'll go after the legacy subscriptions. Mine's still the $9.99 individual plan from Google Play Music days and it's evolution. I haven't seen anything yet and hopefully won't for a while longer. Although, it's just a matter of time sadly; gotta get those increased profits.

I take offense to to this phrasing, as it implies GPM grew and improved. It didn't evolve; it died and was replaced by an inferior product.

Oh I agree and probably should've said that. YT Music is still inferior compared to it. Only upside that I like is that I'm able to upload my own music into it. Instead of having to use my CDs for things that aren't on a streaming services.

I wound up moving entirely to Plex and it's janky Tidal integration because of that use case. Too much local/obscure music out there to not be able to add my own tracks.
