CFMEU has been a corrupt cesspit for years. The leadership keeps harping on about 'workers rights' to misdirect everyone from the visible corruption and extortion tactics that happen on site daily.

Anyone who has been on a CFMEU site over the past 10 years would have seen it. Anyone that claims not have seen it, is either blind or brainwashed.

The workers deserve better than the current leadership, that has been given plenty of chances to clean up.

The workers voted for this leadership and are out protesting today in support of it. The democratically elected union leadership was removed and union funds are being used by the non elected administrators. None of the allegations matter in the face of the fact that the next liberal government now has the power to destroy any union in the country at will without justification.

Same thing happens with corrupt councils.

It seems to me that the CFMEU has become a cult of personality with Setka, and not much else. In situations like this, the words 'democracy' lose their meanings when the voters are heavily discouraged to vote for anyone else. See North Korea as an example.

You're working under the assumption the accusations have been substantially proven. They haven't. They simply haven't, and this witchhunt achieves nothing.
