I found an original LP of the Lawrence of Arabia movie score. It's a bit crackly but that's because it's been in a bad record sleeve. I have a huge supply of special sleeves now and all my LPs are carefully cleaned, the sleeves replaced and the cardboard cover cleaned and repaired if need be. The humidity of the room is still a bit low tho, that cause crackle too so I must water the pot plant.
Any other tips for cleaning crackly records? I bought a cheap second hand Six Wives of King Henry The Eighth and it's very crackly.
Not really. Most crackly playing isn't usually about the record per se but about static caused by the atmospheric conditions and ionisation of the LP by the sleeve.
