In Candyman, the scene where Tony Todd had bees flying out of his mouth were REAL BEES. Todd only agreed to do the scene if they pay him $1000 for every bee sting. He earned $27,000 for that scene (files.catbox.moe)

IDK it kinda sounds like they just fired the animal handler and gave him their $27K.
