According to eBay, where I see you can get it for under $10, I think I was wrong.

A free gift now worth ten bucks is a huge increase in value though.

I mean it was a free gift in that it was an extra included in the box with the CD-Rom. Anyone who bought that CD-Rom got it. So you were probably actually subsidizing it.
