Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

I’m afraid that I require an explanation.
There was a popular band back in the 90s named Oasis. They look like the two in the bottom. (You'll probably recognize them most for the song Wonderwall)
This joke is both a straightforward pun of their name being Oasis but also a little bit of a deeper cut because the two members of the band fucking hated each other the entire time so them being together has to be a mirage.
I've heard they're actually getting along again and will tour as Oasis next year or so...
Do you think they'll survive the whole tour?
No, but if they happen to do a show nearby I'd think about going... It'd be entertaining to watch them fight at the very least
Thanks!
Google images of "oasis band members."
Got some photos. Still unsure and don’t know why the word mirage is used.
A mirage is an optical illusion, very commonly seen in the desert, and often portrayed as a wonderful water oasis when a person is dehydrated and lost. Of course, the band Oasis isn't standing in the desert either, so it must be a mirage too.
In the desert being starved and dehydrated, it's not uncommon to hallucinate things like water and trees. They are called "Mirages"
Your explanation was helpful. I still don’t know how googling then was clue.
We thought you didn't know the band members, not the definition of mirage and oasis.
