EndeavourOS (Arch Linux) user here.

Is this just me? Everything works perfectly, but if the controller turns off and on again while a game is running, it's no longer recognized, and this forces me to restart the game.

I don't know how useful it is but I tried to join the input group, nothing changed.

Yeah, on Fedora if you launch a game and then turn on the controller, the game won't recognize it, even though Steam does. You have to turn on the controller and then launch the game. If you are already paying the game and turn the controller off and then on again, it still recognizes it. However, I don't know if while playing the controller dies and you switch to another controller if it will recognize the "new" one, as I only have one controller.
