I don't mind more expensive food if it means not exploiting human misery and destroying workers rights.

Supermarkets don't. They like cheap stuff and hiding the exploration. Some governments even block laws that would protect workers from the heat.

I understand that, which is why I buy direct from the producer as much as I can.

Eggs, dairy, vegetables, etc. I all purchase directly from the farm.
