Ergonomic, split and other weird keyboards

Rules

Keep it ergo

Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn't exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)

i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²

¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid

I'm desperate to find a mod or standalone device like a track ball or track point that can be comfortably mounted near the right half of my Ergodox Moonlander. So far I've seen people buy the Thinkpad keyboards to mangle and remove the red track point nub.

Ditto on my Keyboardio Model 100. This thing is nearly perfect but the lack of mouse makes me wish I could cross this design with a Charybdis.

I wish someone would make a mounting case with clamps for sticking a mechanical keyboard and trackpad of the user's choice together, laptop-style.

Maybe also have mounting points for screws like a VESA-style mount does, so that trackpad and keyboard vendors that explicitly want to support it can have a less-ad-hoc mount.

The laptop form keyboard/trackpad form factor can be really convenient, but the handful of all-in-one devices out there are kind of limiting.
