I agree, the bins look so much better out of the box. The default lemmy interface is just... no. It's why when I took the plunge post-rexodus I went with kbin.social. But that went pear-shaped, so I started shopping around. I liked the look and feel of Voyager, which an instance can implement as an optional front end in addition to having web app and standalone app options on mobile. So I found a home instance on lemmy and haven't really looked back.
