No, they are not. These otters are native to Malaysia. They only stay in rivers that are clean. Having these otters move to the Melaka river is a good sign the river is getting better.
Native to Malaysia doesnât mean theyâre native to that region no?
But if theyâre actually native to the Melaka river, and are now returning itâs a whole different story however.
i went to look it up, apparently we should have 4 native species, though the side of Malaysia where Melaka is, it should be the smooth-coated ones like these bbs
