Cool. Biden is currently President. So there won't be any delays in calling in the National Guard.

That's the part I don't understand.
He's not in office, so he can't delay any response.
Hell, if I were Biden, I'd have a plan ready with my cabinet (sec def, sec state, sec home sec), my joint Chiefs of staff, secret service, etc. Also have the governor of Maryland have his Nat Guard ready too.
Biden himself is safe at the White House. But I would imagine they will be more concerned securing the Capitol building.

For those who didn't know (like me):
If Johnson doesn't gavel in the House, Biden can force them to do so. Though I don't think it likely for Johnson to not have a session, because their plans hinge on ignoring legitimate electors under the guise of "irregularities".
If about 20 of them had been willing to die they could have busted in behind Ashli. Last go round she was the only one interested in taking a bullet for Trump.

You're talking about the people who showed up with zip ties and a gallows. Ashli Babbitt showed up wearing an American Flag as a cape. She thought they were pulling a patriotic stunt. Anyone genuinely there intending to kill flew Trump's flag, not the US flag.

They only got that far because Trump was in charge and ensured security was soft.
With Biden in charge, the national guard will almost certainly be ready and waiting, and it won't matter if 20 or 2000 Trumpets are willing to die for him
On the plus side, if they insist on pushing things to the point where they get mowed down en masse, that's fewer morons and assholes to vote Republican next time
