I feel like this is a no brainer no matter which way you lean. We should want fair districts and actual representation.

I don't know if this will be an improvement, unelected officials appointing a panel to decide districts. It does get rid of politicians self serving motivations to redistrict but with no checks in place I feel this will lead to new issues.

If you read the full text of the amendment you'll see it has a lot of safeguards designed to ensure fair districts.

This is unequivocally an improvement over the current process where legislators get to pick their voters and disenfranchise people.
