hexabear folks have been keeping their sad tissue list of kamala for years, they claim.

"we" just haven't been paying attention to "them"

[–] figjam@midwest.social 32 points 1 month ago (21 children)

They really do find everything 'problematic' don't they?

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 25 points 1 month ago (3 children)

I don't wish them ill will, I just think the whole idea of their instance and community is just... is it satire maybe?

is it a big joke I don't get? I dunno but they're way worse than lemmy grad. at least lemmy grad has an ethos.

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 25 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's astro-turfed to hell. If you can bend your political opponents views to serve your purpose you have effectively turned a -1 to a +1. They also do your dirty work by sowing infighting and reaping dissatisfaction.

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Do you have any evidence of this?

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Do you have evidence that I'm not in on it? I've penetrated the deepest levels of the russian strike force and can tell you word for word what the leaders of this insurgency is doing at any moment.

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So no, you don't have evidence it's astro-turfed, gotcha. Why lie, then?

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

How am I lying? You don't have any evidence saying I'm not an insider.

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

If you can't provide evidence, or even reasoning that a fringe community of far-leftists is even worth astro-turfing, then your claim can be dismissed without evidence.

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So your claim that I'm not an insider can be dismissed, got it.

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

If you could provide evidence, then yes.

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (1 children)

Evidence is my testimony. Here want some pictures of the communications?

Edit:

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Almost funny, but at the end of the day you're fighting ghosts and strawmen. Me generally being a leftist and asking questions directed towards people making baseless claims doesn't mean Hexbear is astro-turfed, that's not just a logical leap, that's a logical circus act.

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

What makes you believe it's satire? They have a firm pro-Socialist, anti-liberal, anti-sectarian stance, meaning there are Marxists and Anarchists alike, not just Marxist-Leninists like Lemmygrad.

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I don't believe it's satire really, but in case it was just so good or subtle and was, I figured I'd ask. (because I just can't seem to wrap my head around that group think mentality (doesn't matter spectrum- conservative, communist, etc.))

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's a space for anti-sectarian Marxists and Anarchists, it isn't really "group think," moreso Marxists and Anarchists want a space to talk to each other instead of endlessly debating against liberals and fascists.

Hop over some time and see what people are actually saying as an aggregate.

[–] crawancon@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

thank you for the explanation! that clears up some things. I guess I didn't realize they wanted to talk just to each other. it doesn't feel like a place where you can question their self imposed status quo (if you do your comments are removed).

Thank you

[–] Cowbee@lemmy.ml -1 points 1 month ago

It's a safe-space for the far-left, if you don't want to interact with liberalism it's nice.

As far as questioning the "status quo," you can, as long as you're genuinely questioning, and not just picking fights or throwing slurs, those will get removed extremely quickly.

hexabear

Do you mean the tankie instance hexbear or do you mean the compounding of six bears? 🤔

Yeah, super cereal!

[–] Red_October@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

We don't actually know how many bears the tankies are comprised of, but 6 does seem to fit the data. So basically it can be both.

[–] fushuan@lemm.ee 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Their argument is that it's not about the candidate but the party it represents, the issues are of the party so any lider won't do.

And if anyblider won't do, their opinion doesn't matter in this context so you can like ignore them.

[–] ImpressiveEssay@lemmy.world -2 points 1 month ago

But...the candidate literally tried to take power from that party.

Are they dumb too?
