Hello, Everyone.

Reading the comments under the new rules draft post it seems like the community is divided on what they want / don't want to see on the sub.

This survey will try to gather the raw data that we need to make a proper decision on the final rules that will be implemented later, so choose wisely.

There are 15 questions in total with most having "Keep" or "Remove / Limit" as the options but there are a couple with potential solutions too. It shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to fill out.

You can't edit your response after submitting it and questions are in random order.

Depending on the results of each post type they will either remain unchanged, limited in some way or completely removed.

(Example pictures were taken from r/SteamDeck posts, don't harass the original posters)

We are in the process of reviewing Ys X: Nordics, and while we still have a bit more to play for it, we can confirm that the game will be fantastic on the Steam Deck. We are able to get it running with nice visuals with 45 FPS for now, but it should not only be able to handle 60 FPS with some lowered graphics, but also 30 FPS with higher ones!

Hi, thought I would share a settings configuration for Metaphor on the Steam Deck. With this I get a locked 40fps, even in the city sections.

Step 1

Download the Lyall PC fix

Step 2

Edit the Lyall PC fix ini file.

Change LOD value to 7 (default 10)

Change shadow quality to 1000 (default 2048)

Can change other QOL

Step 3

In game settings.

Resolution - 1280x720

Screen mode - windowed Vsync - off

Rendering scale - 100%

Ambient Occlusion - off

Texture quality - normal

Frame rate limit - 60

Step 4

Steam deck settings

FPS cap - 40

TDP - 13w

Optional I use reshade to add adaptive sharpening and vibrance. I also use the stretch option in steam os to use the full screen. These options give me 4hours battery in the city and about 5 hours in the first dungeon.

I needed more room so I decided to take the leap to get a steamdeck and sell my PC. It was glorious. I got to take it to work and had the time with it to start playing hogwarts legacy, which had been on my backlog for a very long time. On that fateful day my wife saw what I was playing. She asked to try the game out. Then me to leave it when I'm at work. She then proceeded to play it at night when we go to bed. The steam deck lasted 4 days. I will miss gaming.....

She has never gamed more than mario party/kart and i am so happy to share one of the things I love with her. She has already asked how much it is, no doubt thinking about getting me one too

I discovered that if you hold the ... button you can raise and lower the brightness using the left stick. I've found it really handy when playing games with both bright and dark sections.

So, I've read plenty of post's about people's significant others stealing their SteamDeck. Well, it's happened to me. As I write this my girlfriend has hijacked my SteamDeck. Just a few days ago she watched me play Crime Scene Cleaner and she asked if should could play. I said sure, and it might have been the biggest mistake of my life. She's officially obsessed, and I couldn't bee happier.
