Rivers of Nihil's album "Where Owls Know My Name" is a blend of technical death metal and progressive death metal. The album was released on March 16, 2018, through Metal Blade Records and was the band's first effort to chart on the Billboard Top Sales chart, debuting at number 61 and selling 2,750 copies in its first week. The album has received positive reviews from critics and fans alike, with many praising the band's musicianship and songwriting.

Also the video is fucking 10/10

Best use of a saxophone in Prog Metal that I've heard.

"The Ocean - Cambrian II: Eternal Recurrence" is a song by the German progressive metal band The Ocean Collective. It is the second track on their 2018 album "Phanerozoic I: Palaeozoic". The song is a passage by Nietzsche from his work "Notes on the Eternal Recurrence". The song's lyrics are introspective and delve into the concept of eternal recurrence and the cyclical nature of existence.

The Ocean Collective is a German progressive metal band that was started in 2000 by guitarist Robin Staps. The band's music is known for its complex arrangements, heavy use of orchestration, and philosophical themes. The current members of the band are Robin Staps (guitar, programming, backing vocals), Loïc Rossetti (lead vocals), Paul Seidel (drums, backing vocals), Mattias Hägerstrand (bass), David Ramis Åhfeldt (guitar).

The Flower Kings has a new album out, and the reviews online are pretty positive.

Progessive groove metal with a fretless bass. Figured it deserved a cross-post here. Definitely worth a listen.

From their debut album, Dogmatorraistes, that came out today. I just love the sound of a fretless bass. 🥲

Today I had my first listen of Quidam's Alone Together album.

Quidam is a Polish Progressive rock band that I discovered by Maciej Meller the new Riverside guitarist and past guitarist of Quidam.

I'm sharing Of Illusions because I really like that one and I think that any Prog Rock fan can appreciate this one
