All Brisbane train lines are running to a "special timetable" due to major track works and partial track closures.

Rail buses are in place but delays are expected on all lines until the end of the week, while track closures will remain in place for the Beenleigh and Gold Coast/Airport line until January 18.

...

Stations at Nundah, Toombul, Wooloowin, Albion, Dutton Park, Fairfield, Yeronga, Yeerongpilly and Rocklea are closed.

Almost all commuters who would usually pass through those stations need to utilise bus transfers.

There's a place in Brisbane where the houses have been disappearing, leaving behind nothing but grassy areas and memories. Well, it's something like that. Just watch the bloomin' video and see what's going on.

Every time I drive around BNE I am on the look out for Mr Walkabout so I can star in his videos going "ermagherd i watch all your videos 😍"

Last day of the year lads and ladies! My big plans involve playing with fish tanks, a feed at a steak joint, and an early night 😴

Going to beat the rush and start practicing writing 2024 now so I'm not one of those people writing ~~2023~~2024 on everything.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns storms are on the way for Central Queensland, the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay while the rest of the state is set to swelter in a heatwave.

Temperatures in the south-east are expected to reach the mid-to-high thirties today, up to eight degrees higher than the December average.

The warmest part of the state will be Winton in the central-west, with a top of 44C.

"We've had the fires already. We've had heat already, had a cyclone and now the thunderstorms then back to the heat again," BOM forecaster Steve Hadley said.

Time to move to Adelaide.
