Got an article instead of a bellend in a childish thumbnail?

[–] Moonrise2473@feddit.it 21 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Listened to the video when I was doing something else, apparently it's based on two medium posts with a long description of that nft project

Of course those two posts aren't linked in the description

I mean, this is just a flat out lie. Unless all of the media put out by the company is part of two medium posts? Was his correspondence with the CEO and company part of the medium posts? Don't worry, your NFTs will be worth something any minute now.

That's a great site thanks!

Just shows that a 17 minute video contains the same amount of information as a 2 minute read!

You can always read the transcript

Coffeezilla is a bellend, eh? Which of your "finfluencers" did he expose and make you mad about?

[–] Soup@lemmy.world -4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

The video’s not that long and the thumbnail is fine, dude. The content is clear and uses Jesse Lyu’s own words, his own voice even, to spotlight how stupid this whole thing is.

You mad your Rabbit purchase turned out to be shit or something? What’s your angle here?

Good video, thanks for sharing. Not sure what people here are moaning about. I guess anything over 10 seconds is "too long" nowadays.

Many people, myself included, prefer to read. I can quickly skim an article to make sure it's worth investing some time into before reading it for retention and understanding. I can also read far faster than a narrator can narrate the same. Overall, written word is just a significantly more effective medium for me. Others may have different reasons.

[–] Ilandar@aussie.zone 6 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Is that personal preference a reason to complain about someone else sharing a video link?

[–] FippleStone@aussie.zone 2 points 5 months ago (1 children)

I personally dislike how much people lean into video for information, also because I prefer to read, perhaps it's a little bitter but I get the sentiment

[–] DasAlbatross@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

That's a long way of saying no, a personal preference is not a reason to complain about someone else sharing a video link.

[–] DasAlbatross@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

Because Coffeezilla exposes a lot of finfluencer fraud and people get really, really invested in these scamsters. People don't like to be told that they got fooled.

The ending caught me off guard. I had already read about the whole NFT thing before the video released but now I'm interested in what he supposedly found about the Rabbit itself.
Maybe he'll talk about Rabbit's very shoddy software offerings like making people insert their credentials into a VM they put very little effort into locking down? Or the fact that their "Large Action Model" so far is just Playwright running on Ubuntu?

That ending caught me off guard, I thought it was gonna be a one and done lol.

And here I thought it was $150
