What a stupid thing to get upset over.

@Deceptichum

My life has no meaning and I need this to feel something. Anything at all…

God, that website is unusable.

But that ad is so bad.

They're basically conceding that the only thing they've done differently vs the old ones is that they made it thinner. Which... Who was asking for that?

Also, the new iPad Pros are actually thinner and lighter than the iPad Airs, because Apple is the king of confusion these days.

Well, thinner and faster. Which, I guess would be the result of being more aerodynamic. It probably has speed holes.

speed holes

Worst brothel in all of Pittsburgh.

[–] nokturne213@sopuli.xyz 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Unless you are paying by the minute.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 1 points 6 months ago

I dunno, "holes" isn't the MOST flattering and enticing description of sex workers and payment by the minute sounds hella sus too 😄

The Air needs to be thicker so it can hold more air in it.

Just criticises? Not "slams", "destroys", or eviscerates? Weak. No rage click from me.

I want to gut the person who wrote that headline

This is what happens when out of touch marketing executives make decisions. They say, “Everyone likes that one YouTube channel where they crush things. Let’s crush everything!”

This would have been a very popular ad even just 14 years ago.

That article starts out describing criticism of the ad, then turns into an ad for the new iPad. Almost makes me wonder if Apple isn’t paying for this article to be run…

“ The new iPad Pro will include a high-quality OLED display for the first time, as well as Apple’s new, own-made, top-of-the-range M4 chip, which the company says means the new devices are 50% faster than the previous generation and ten-times faster than the original iPad Pro model.

Apple senior vice president of hardware engineering, John Ternus, said the new Pro “pioneers our most advanced technologies, and pushes the limits of what an iPad can be”, adding that the new device was the “iPad we’ve always dreamed of making”.

I've seen this same story on pretty much every news outlet today, it's either a campaign or just a super easy ripped from twitter quota filler.

After his destruction of the Oompa Loompa role in Wonka he has no room to talk.

Iconic stop

Watched the ad, it’s basically a huge hydraulic press that presses a room and then there’s an iPad.

Idonno…. If you watch the kids born after 2012/2015 (idk) it’s like this ad catches it perfectly.

No individuality, no music, no movies, no hobbies, no pencils. Just iPad.
