How to remove old inactive mod from community moderation (lemmy.ml)

There's no removal from moderation option in the community section, so how do I remove said mod? I don't see the option visible to me.

We had to resort to direct DB edits

If there isn't any post they left to act on, it's maybe an oversight in the lemmy-ui design. Should open a bug on lemmy-ui that there should be an option on the moderator listing on the community page. Perhaps some alternate to lemmy-ui has the option, there are lot of new apps out there. A small JavaScript API client could probably remove it with a dozen lines of code without having to resort to resort to going directly to PostgreSQL.

Look at a post or comment of theirs in that community; you should see an option for "remove as mod".

their sole post was deleted and I don't see the option visible
