Reducing MSRP from $39k to $25k. Yikes.
But I don't think this example will give us a clear idea of viability at that price point. Some consumers will be wary of a car company in significant financial trouble heading towards bankruptcy. Prospective buyers may wonder if the reason for their troubles due to the quality of their product. In addition, owning a car that may suddenly left unsupported by its manufacturer in terms of warranty, service, parts, recalls, etc. is a risk that may not be worth it even at a $14,000 discount. I suppose If Fisker is courting a buyout or partnership, that might be more reassuring. Doesn't sound like they are too far along in that process, however, if they can't even name the big auto company they're talking to.
