Excuse me for not crying. Each dead Russian in this stupid pointless war is deserved. Nobody thinks of you as a hero if you are the invader.

If you are a Russian soldier, at least have the decency to put some sunflower seeds in your pocket so your corpse have a purpose and your existence will not have been 100% useless.

Lieutenant general, not major general. That's a big big difference. All Russian military officers should go to hell, so it's good he's dead, but this is a very incorrect headline and not nearly as big of a deal.

Translated from source:

Oleg Tsokov, Major General of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, was killed as a result of an APU strike near Berdyansk

This was told by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Petr Andryushchenko. “It is reported that today in the Berdyansk region, the Russian Lieutenant General Oleg Yuryevich Tsokov was liquidated. In September 2022, he was already three hundred, but he survived. Now they say that the grave has been finally completed,” he wrote.

At the end of September 2022, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Tsokov was wounded in the Svatovo region of the Lugansk region as a result of a fire attack.

Oleg Tsokov since August 2022 was the commander of the 144th motorized rifle division of the 20th combined arms army of the Russian Federation. He received the rank of lieutenant general in 2023. In addition to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he took part in two Chechen wars and the war in Syria.

300 is a military term referring to wounded in action. So he was wounded first, then killed in action.

So, is it better to die of an APU attack or from handgun shots because you post your daily runs to Strava? Asking for a friend.
