Hey everyone - I just wanted to give you all a quick update on what has been happening over the past week. It has been a bit quiet here, but believe me when I say there has been a lot of changes going on behind the scenes to get ready for the upcoming release.

A lot of work has been done over the past week, and an incredible amount of new contributors to the project. I am also in the process of working to get a general release out within the next day or two!

Here are some things to be excited for:

Improved performance for long comment threads
Improvements to the general UI
Customization of swipe gestures
More visual options to posts (viewing preview texts, full-width image previews, titles before media)
Additional ways to share media and links
Initial font size scaling for posts and comments
Initial support for blocking communities

And a lot of changes under-the-hood!

Sorry again for the long delay between releases - it has been super hectic for me personally and I've had a bit less time this week to work on Thunder as I would've liked 😅

Y'all are gonna go nuts for this upcoming release - get hyped! It's been awesome following along with the pre-alphas, things have been changing at an incredible pace "behind the scenes" :) excited to be along for the ride!

Hi, it's me. I am involved with NewPipe and python-telegram-bot and now will help out here as well. Not really an android developer, will just try my best to triage new issues and support the communities as much as I can :)
