Fleur de France++;

It to me a while to understand it, and now I can't get enough of it😅

Faena Friday. Terrific shave from this stainless steel razor that is considered inferior by some. I don't think it's the steel. This razor has an edge that is refreshed with my latest process. It's as sharp and smooth as any of my carbon steel straights.

I always heard Friodurs mentioned as the one exception proving the rule that stainless steel razors are inferior. Even Brad Maggard, who basically only likes razors made before 1862 (I'm extrapolating and exaggerating a bit) begrudgingly includes them on his must-have list.

Either way, I'm yet to find try a bad stainless steel razor. Be it from Henckels, Ralf Aust, or Dovo, my experiences with stainless steel straights (shaving and honing) have been delightful so far

Fougère Friday

  • Brush: Chisel and Hound Intrepid with 26 mm Zenith boar knot at 53 mm loft
  • Razor: Thiers Issard Le Dandy
  • Lather: Chatillon Lux and Declaration Grooming Weinstrasse
  • Aftershave: House of Mammoth/Noble Otter/Declaration Grooming Cerberus Fougère
  • Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company Seaforth! Fleur de France
  • Talc: Pinaud Clubman Finest Powder

Tart, then sweet, then oakmoss-musky this is a fun fougère ride (counting FdF as a Fougère h.c. again).

The Dandy treats me great. I only bought it because I ran into a real-life brick-and-mortar shaving shop in the wild and felt finished to buy something, but I'm really happy I did. Serendipity++;

That looks like a great curation of scents.

It was certainly a fun ride🙂

  • Brush: Stirling 24mm Synthetic
  • Blade: Cien Men 2-Blade Cart (5)
  • Lather: London Razors/Summer Break Soaps - Mountain Laurel - Soap
  • Post Shave: Spearhead - Seaforth! Heather - Toner
  • Post Shave: Bulldog - Original Moisturizer

Early morning today so I actually shaved last night (but counted it as "today's shave").

This keeps my streak going (I think) of daily shaves for almost 4 years.

That counts, right? It does if you ask me!

100% counts if you ask me
