My Steam Link always gets a terrible connection over wifi and I don't have the capability of hardwiring it, but I like it in concept. My Steam Controller on the other hand sounded amazing but after trying to force myself to use it time and time again I just cannot stand the trackpads as much as I really wanted to love them, I do really like the micro vibration/clicks they do and I really like the back paddles on it and I can see a ton of thought and care went into the design, but it just isn't for me, it's too light and the trackpads are just never going to become comfortable for me no matter how much I force myself to use them. I'm really glad a lot of people like them but I've had less than stellar experiences. That said I hope Valve, a company I love, continues to make great products.
