1963, as the first 26 seasons of the show were called seasons. The “series” naming didn’t start until 2005.

Can't wait for Doctor Who Season 1, not to be confused with Doctor Who Series 1, or Doctor Who Season 1.

That's going to be interesting for me. I've only seen him as Eric in sex education. I wonder if I'll be able to decouple him from that role when he's playing the doctor.
