Looking thru the modlog and rabbitea.rs seems to be getting a lot of bans for spam, I had a look at the instance and there is zero activity locally.

I'm not particularly interested in blocking other federated forums, but this is a situation we are going to have to deal with more and more, unless any of their users appear to be real, I would agree with blocking this particular instance.

Same here, don't want to block instances but I'm good with blocking malicious instances.

It's also possible that it could be related to this post, those with their own instances that had left signups open have been getting swamped with spam account creations.

So if you end up making your own personal instance, turn off auto-approve registration.

It certainly looks like it, seems there's a few dozen servers in the same boat. Someone's come up with an anti-spam solution here, might be worth considering until the platform has had time to deal with this officially?
