Sorry but the CGI cars look rough, really rough.
Trailers for movies, television and games
This is a community for posting and sharing trailers and teasers for upcoming film, television and video game premieres. The goal is to provide subscribers a curated feed of trailers for UPCOMING media. General-purpose posts about movies, television and games are better suited for other communities around the Lemmyverse. This place is just for trailers.
Rules
- All posts must be trailers or teasers; not full movies, not trailers for trailers, and not clips of popular scenes. Meta posts from mod staff are OK, but should be kept to a minimum.
- No fan-made trailers or remixes.
- Trailers for upcoming content only. Do not spam the community with trailers for media that has already been released.
- Link to official channels for trailers whenever possible (ie: the YouTube accounts of each film's studio or distribution company); avoid linking to videos from media outlets that function as aggregators / re-posters if you can.
- Post titles should follow formatting guidelines: "Media Name (release year, relevant creator credit)". Creator credits should be directors for films and games, showrunners for television series. Other details such as starring actors, writers, production studios, etc can be added to the post description.
- Don't be a jerk.
Part of me loved the overall look of the trailer, so vivid! Part of me also said, “huh, something feels really off”.
God I REALLY hope this isn't a CGI fuck fiesta, the originals and Fury Road had top tier practical effects and REAL cars!
After how successful Fury Road was, I have a hard time believing Miller would make a CGI heavy movie.
That's my hope anyway. I love Fury Road.
There was so much CGI in Fury Road. I have no idea how that narrative got started.
When people say it doesn't have a lot of CGI, they mean big stuff like the explosions, cars, and actors. Sure there was tons of vfx work done to touch up the shots and add background assets, but the important things were all real. The worry is that they go full Disney and just have a bunch of actors on a giant green set.
There's behind the scenes footage you can watch of all the stunt cars.
He also made the Babes and Happy Feet too, though. At 78 and with COVID raging during production I doubt he did a lot of stuff practically this time unfortunately.
They did something wrong with the eyes
Human eyes don't look like that
I'm pretty sure Anya Taylor-Joy is an elf
I don't think she's a very good actress. Disappointing choice.
yeah wtf
I cam tell something is off with the eyes but I cannot tell what is wrong with them
I thought it looked fine, then again I watched on like 300p resolution
Something about the way this looks made me expect a Netflix logo at the end.
Witness Me!!!!
Witness Me!!!!
is what I shout when I slip and fall in public to make it less embarrassing
that looks like a lot of cgi
STOKED for this! I loved Fury Road
oh it looks great, I'm glad they are expanding on the mad max world. It was always one of my favorites
