Yeah, not being unter the authority of any state also means not being under the protection of any state.

Famously good at allowing airflow for cooling

Look, I get that you're trying to be funny more so than accurate, but we're already doing sea based servers and they work fine.

Some datacentres are already run under the water, this shouldn't be too different.

no very much salt water I'm afraid.

Since 2015, several data centers have been submerged underwater in both the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean. The first underwater data center was deployed by Microsoft into the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of California, through an experiment called Project Natick, with Phase 1 being a vessel carrying 1 rack, containing 24 servers.

  1. The company might not even be real
  2. What government would just allow their product to be sold in it's country? Tariffs come to mind immediately.

They and their buyers likely wouldn't care about what a government allows

Also 3. How long until some enterprising individual with a boat acquires several thousand fancy new graphics cards they found floating at sea?

Idk I don't think somebody would invest that much into a niche gray market AI solution. Commercial acceptance would be more valuable.

And good point on 3.

True, but that one is just sloppy optimization, whereas Crysis really did push the envelope.
