I dont know if I understood the problem completely, but as far as I understood how lemmy works, federation with other communities on remote instances only starts after someone from this instance subscribes to that community !gonewild@lemmynsfw.com . Also note that federation works with POST, i.e. the remote instances are responsible for sending their new posts to this instance This means that when you subscribe to a new community, older posts/comments will not be synced, only newer ones.

Any chance this could be fixed in lemmy updates? I know im just missing out on like 2 pinned posts but it could be megathreads, wikis, or rules etc yknow. Thanks for maintaining this instance btw, i switched from dbzer0 to here cause it was wayy too political lol and had a ton of blocked instances.
Some pinned posts are getting federated. See e.g. !games@sh.itjust.works don't know if this is only a problem with older pinned posts.
Yeah It looks like pinned posts older than a month or two were the only ones not syncing properly and all the new ones are syncing so its all good :D
