Anyone starting to get 'ad blockers are not allowed on YouTube' popups on the site on desktop? It went away when I pressed the X to close the popup but I foresee more shittiness (and a cat and mouse game with ad blocker devs).

Got ublock origin? Go to the dashboard (click the shield, then the cogs) and under MY FILTERS enter the following:

youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.openPopupConfig.supportedPopups.adBlockMessageViewModel, false)

youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.adBlocksFound, 0)

youtube.com##+js(set, ytplayer.config.args.raw_player_response.adPlacements, [])

youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.hasAllowedInstreamAd, true)

Aaaaand the dreaded merge feature on iOS Safari has disappeared my 300 odd tabs. Coincidentally, yesterday I was chatting about how when past you does something that future you pats yourself on the back for. Well, I found that I had somehow bookmarked a lot of the same tabs almost 12 months ago.

Go past me! The other tabs… Oh well. I’m awful at having too many open and it’s bit me the arse more than once.

Aim for today is to leave the dwelling and venture out into this uninviting weather.

Q: What dishwashing liquid does everyone use? I’m pretty sure I’ve been a Morning Fresh faithful forever, but lately I’ve just found that no matter how soapy, I’m still find grease on some cookware.

Edit: Oops I just checked. Looks like Palmolive. Maybe I do have to return to MF.

The Aldi stuff (Tandil I think) does a good job.

To really get rid of grease, I usually wipe cookware down with paper towels before popping into the sink. Rarely have issues.

I'm so burned out with my masters degree at the moment. late on everything and the quality of all my work is awful. feels like I will have to write to my professors apologising for doing such a terrible job 🫠

How much does lease transfer typically cost? The place i'm moving to is charging $290 (which I will split with the outgoing tenant) but fuck me if that isn't exxy

Ugh, COVID is running rampant with PAX (I mean there is PAX pox but now with COVID...). I just hope I don't get it for the 2nd time, I'm already dealing with possible long covid stuff from last year (though I will say, that I took the risks so I only have myself to blame it just sucks).

Rewatching Xena! The power, the cheese, the how bothered can we be about hiding the fact we're filming in NZ (Lucy Lawless' accent included).

Also time to state my favourite fact that Lucy Lawless got the powers that be to hide sneakers and kneepads in her costume. Also also less fun fact more opinion, Renee O'connor getting absolutely yoked as the seasons progressed, and doing her own stunts, legend!

Kind of digging these cool days. Shorts and hoodie are the best combo.

I shouldn't have eaten so much dark chocolate coated liquorice. Or icecream and rhubarb and apple fruit mince pies. Or home made chicken nuggets. Every year from around my birthday to Christmas I turn into a piggy. It's like a 3 month long pigout session. All the stuff I've denied myself all year is suddenly essential eating. I'm going to undo all my good work if I don't pull up 😳

Torn between that feeling of complete apathy to the work I do, and a burning passion to protect the area of knowledge and ability that I've carved out for myself.

Like, on the on hand: couldn't give melted diarrhoea in a plastic cup, as much as the work gives me the bum squirts due to stress. But on the other hand: I will ball my fist around a roll of dollar coins and smack a bish who steps on my plot.

Lamb Roast for dinner tonight, perfect weather for it.

Things are looking a bit warmer next week, which will be nice. Just hoping the rain stays away tomorrow morning so I can walk to the voting point without getting soggy.

omg, I've been banned from the newspaper comments section

thinking what was it I said that could have riled people

I implied someone was stupid for not detecting sarcasm . Looks like they really couldn't take a joke.

There is so much agitprop/propaganda/lies out there at moment, I suggest go to sources like BBC and nyt only . Very reliable ones.

Thank god the day’s over.

Tucking into some SPC Dino pasta for a snack at the moment.

I was driving back from work and was so exhausted that I struggled driving home and staying in my lane.

Never felt like that before, my eyes were drooling and I felt like I could have fallen asleep.

Anyway I’m glad to have been able to get home in one piece.

Police are drug testing on a busy road near me, and they already have a few commodores in the pull out of shame.

My gamble paid off and my sleepbought vacuum bags and filters arrive today! Well, between that and the air purifier I guess it means I can thoroughly get rid of whatever dust accumulates while I'm away.

started watching Shereood based on someone's fairly tepid review here. Am enjoying it, and yes, the final scene of ep 2 adds an unexpected twist!

When I bought my phone with a stylus it was mostly because I thought it would help with my gardening record keeping, and I'm pretty happy with how it's working out so far. In the past I've kept switching between computerised databases and handwriting, and nothing really worked out, but this allows me to do a combination of both. I've got a database for the plant varieties & a diary of what I'm doing, and I can use the phone to take photos, write notes directly on them, and then send them to the app as a new diary note I can add details to later.
