Have fun! My only advice is to take it slow. You don’t have to smart-ify every room and every gadget in your house all at once.

Good luck! If things dont respond super fast /things don't work quite right, it might be your router. Make sure to back things up externally regularly and before you make changes!

Have fun! It's a lot better these days but if you struggle with native HA automations, give Node-RED and its HA integration a look.
