Soon, Lithuania plans to hand over to Ukraine the launchers of the NASAMS air defense systems, the electricity generator, the Ministry of National Defense reported.

On Wednesday, Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas presented Lithuania's support plans for Ukraine at a meeting of the Northern Group defense ministers and the contact group of Ukrainian supporters of the "Ramstein format" in Brussels.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy attended this meeting for the first time.

"The issue of military support to Ukraine is becoming a matter of domestic political debate, but the support provided remains an essential factor in the defense of Ukraine. Thanks to the support, Lithuania will continue to keep its commitments - we will be with Ukraine until victory," said A. Anušauskas.

Lithuania will supply air defense NASAMS launchers to Ukraine for 9.8 million. Eur bought from the Norwegian company "Kongsberg".

A. Anušauskas also reminded about the demining coalition of Ukraine.

"We thank the states that have contributed or are considering contributing to the coalition being created. The priority at the moment is demining equipment, which Lithuania and other countries could help purchase, we want to allocate a considerable part of our funds for this purpose", said the minister.

In addition, Lithuania, together with individual European Union states, will order 155 mm ammunition for the Ukrainian army.

According to the Lithuanian minister, preparations for the winter have already started, so electricity generators and other tools needed for the cold season will be handed over to Ukraine in the near future.
