I'm off today. Work I've had a lot of conflict and ended the day early to go for a walk, but also there's a few things I just need to rant about sorry...! Also have a picture of my cat showing how I feel today!

I am instantly in love with your cat both for that gorgeous, GORGEOUS fur and that perfect pose!

[–] legios@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago

Hahaha thanks. She's a gorgeous Maine Coon. Vocal as hell as well which can be... frustrating. :)

Ted Cat is very very hungry . Every single rescue long haired cat I've had had been neglected and half starved. 😢

[–] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago

Poor little man. Did he come from a bad situation?

[–] Eagle@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Hopefully that will settle. It's always a heartbreak realising that they've been without.

[–] just_kitten@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Imagine if he and Bill Cat decided to join forces and trick you into feeding them third breakfasts every day...

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Ted is getting seconds for the next months or so.

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Needs food to grow all the hair back.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

While I was having a nice relaxing bath the kids decided to join me in the bathroom. The oldest one decorated the littlest one to make him look "pretty" with butterfly clips.

TIL that cats do have their own language.

When our fluffy vocal one is being chatty, yells at the door begging to go outside, or is being excited to see me come home, the others sometimes come around to investigate then carry on sleeping

If he's the first one that sees vegetables or raw meat in my hands, he would beg for it, this time the other two would drop what they're doing and join him begging, even if I immediately hide said food before the other two could see it.

Welp, Jimmy and Marceline are checked into the cattery. Sadness.

Pissing off to Hobart tomoz. Keen to try the fooodz.

[–] danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Drunken Admiral is my favourite food place down there.

[–] useless_modern_god@aussie.zone 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh that looks good.I have Bar Wa Izekaya, Rockwall, and Urban Greek bookings for dinners so if you know of any amazing breakfast or cafe brunch action that would be awesome!

[–] danwritesbooks@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Pigeon whole bakery. If you are going to Launceston, Brad & Butter bakery is the bees knees.

Oh thanks Dan! We also got a recommendation for Born in Brunswick from some locals.

Just been dropped that I'm doing the flowers for my bros wedding this Sunday.

I'm seriously not impressed.

If anyone here has ever been to a wedding in Indo (their first wedding) and what her side of the family would (I'm guessing) expect... let's just say from what I saw they expect a lot of flowers.

Fuck me

So since moving to Tassie I haven't made any real friends, but in a really weird coincidence someone who I knew because she dated a friend I played footy and cricket with (20 years ago) happened to move in to the same area as I did in Tassie not long before I moved here (5 years ago). We spoke off and on but after she found out about the break up, she invited me out to trivia night with some of her work friends. I am really really terrible socially, was super nervous, and almost bailed. But I sucked it up and went last night and actually had a really good time. I was actually social and talked to people instead of feeling like I didn't belong.

And we came third so even better.

[–] StudChud@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

That's fantastic!! This is so good! It gets easier with time, but you slayed it! Very cool! 💜

[–] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Go you! Sometimes you've gotta push yourself a little (I know the feeling!).

I have a bit of a dilemma. So my gym is like 42 a week because it's "premium", but because I've been sick and had a mental breakdown over the past few weeks, I haven't been for a while.

I'm really conflicted about whether or not to try somewhere else. It's the whole starting at a new, busier gym that's intimidating. So it's either a) I step it up and actually use my membership or b) suspend my membership at current gym to try out some other gyms and see which I like better.

Anyone had experience switching gyms?

[–] YoungLiars@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

See what the council gym option are. My local council one is amazing, about $24 a week with access to classes, 24hr gym, indoor and outdoor pool, spa and sauna.

Said it before but I’ll say it again, if you like Aussie comedy get on Thank God You’re Here. Ok yes we had a South African and a kiwi tonight, but it’s still better than American comedy.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Urzila kicked arse tonight.

[–] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 2 points 1 year ago

She's amazing, but she always is.

[–] Gibsonisafluffybutt@aussie.zone 0 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I've joined the air fryer club. Yay!!!

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Congratulations 🎉 You might want to visit r/airfryer for all your airfryer needs.

My phone's estimated delivery timeframe: over 2 weeks. My phone's actual arrival time: 2 days.

It looks pretty good, just going through setup now. Once upon a time mobile phones were giant bricks and we would marvel when each successively smaller model came out. Then we started adding in lots of new functions and they are getting bigger and bigger again.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Reconditioned, but looks perfect and is working fine (for a lot less). It was the cheapest one I could get which included the S pen which I've found from the tablet is really useful for some of the things I do.
