Was this building unsafe?
I work in construction so I'll offer my expert opinion. Generally, when the entire front facade of a building is unsecured and falling down that would be considered unsafe. Of course that varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction
Thank you for your expert opinion

Is this one of the fake houses that are actually just vents for the subway?
It's an art/architecture project from about ten years ago - there's a bit of info about it on dezeen.com
It would be cool if, like you suggested, it also had some hidden practical purpose, but I think it was just what it was.
There is a golden “S” hovering in the attic right there.
Skipped the primer it seems :<

So in order to go inside the house... do you just... fall in the door? Or is it more like a basement door, with stairs inside it?
You have to skate up to the top.
There better be another half pipe on the other side of the street.
