✨Fashionably late✨

A wizard is never late, nor are they early, they arrive precisely when they mean to.

I should have realized. I mean, I do wield a little wand, chant my stitch count, and utter strange curses in a dead language. Then, bam, a sweater appears.

This looks amazing! Did you follow any pattern that you could link to? How do you call this type of clothing? I've got some yarn that could work well with this.

This is one of the first blogs where I remember seeing this pattern. https://makeanddocrew.com/free-crochet-hexagon-sweater-pattern-part-1/

But there are many many variations on it nowadays. Search hexagon cardigan or sweater to find YT videos or images where crafters added their own flair to it. I like the ones that have a column of granny squares running down the center back. You can add cuffs or a waistband to make the fit more snug, or leave it loose like I have. I commonly see buttons added, though I just used a hair barrette I had laying around to keep it closed. I've even seen a zipper used that gave it a really nice finished look.

Thanks a lot! Will see if I can find the motivation to do one soon (I usually only do amigurumi) :)

PS: I used a self striping yarn (I think it was Red Heart Super Saver Stripes) and let the color changes happen however they happened. I like the unplanned-ness of it. But I did run out of my yarn toward the end, so I added some stripes in heathered grey so it would still be big enough to fit me, lol.

Good to know that you used striping yarn. I use only vegan yarns and it is often hard to find nice striping yarns unfortunately. I wonder how tedious frequent color changes would be with this kind of project...

PPS: I also made some patch pockets for it, I just haven't made myself sew them on yet 😅
