I left Twitter long before that dumbass manchild took over. It already has been shitty for years. Now I joined bluesky just for fun. Remember when you came here from Reddit and were speechless how (relatively speaking) friendly the internet can be? It’s that all over again.

I think I’m gonna stick around for some time.

They're toddlers throwing tantrums, they want people to tell them that they're misbehaving, and they need to confirm to social norms.

Shunning has been around longer than verbal language for a reason. Some people crave any form of social interaction and will always take the easiest path to getting it.

If they can get it by acting like a pile of shit, that's what they do. If they get ignored for that, they'll keep throwing the tantrum for a while, then they'll come back to the group acting better so they can get that social interaction.

Just got a let them cry it out, arguing with them is like being that person that "reply all's" to an email thread telling people not to "reply all".

You think you're helping, but you're as much of the problem at this point.

Right...

And like most examples of good irony, they're making a correct point.

Which I elaborated on in a comment:

You want to piss them off, ignore them

don't defend your work, just let it echo out into the cosmos.
