A worker has been crushed beneath a turbine blade at a wind farm construction site at Rokewood.

First responders tried to revive the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

What's next?

WorkSafe is investigating the circumstances and police will prepare a report for the coroner.

"Just two weeks ago, union delegates from three different unions met with Vestas management to raise serious safety concerns, telling them it was only dumb luck that nobody had been killed on site yet."

Very sad news. Live by the blade, die by the blade. I hope some good can come from this and they change their processes/behaviour accordingly.
