A ban to stop children from legally smoking tobacco when they become adults is set to be introduced in Parliament.

The Tobacco and Vapes Bill, which aims to create the “first smoke-free generation”, will prevent anyone born after 1 January 2009 from legally smoking by gradually raising the age at which tobacco can be bought,

I hope it works. History seems to suggest criminalizing vices doesn't have a great success rate, but I hope this one takes.

I hate this concept, making it illegal for some of the population, but not all of it is a really strange way to handle this. Honestly, I don't smoke, but if the government tried to tell me I couldn't, I would probably seek out doing it.
