Title says it all. I've used the most up to date GE for it, and it kind of works, but I get some odd visual bugs. Additionally, any other Proton release ive used disables audio in cutscenes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im using Kubuntu, which is Ubuntu but with KDE desktop environment.

Protondb says to use proton 7.x, but the rest doesn't seem to happen to anyone else:

To add, downgrading the version helps some games. River City Girls needs version 5.x to get the cutscenes, iirc.

double check the GPU drivers are up to date and not using a more stable out of date version

is it a purchased or pirated?

if pirated using the custom game launcher portproton could be what you are looking for

Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 12, Linux Mint 21.x, Deepin

portproton_1.7-3_amd64.deb

if it is purchased you may have to use something like Arch that has more up to date bleeding edge rather than a stable release such as Ubuntu
