The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has spent more than $100 million on federal elections so far this cycle, according to a review of the latest FEC data.

The super PAC has spent money on more than a dozen U.S. House races this year, but its spending totals were particularly large in a pair of Democratic primaries, where it backed candidates who unseated progressive incumbents who have criticized Israel’s conduct of the war in Gaza.

This is why Bernie keeps pushing for Dems to regulate their own primaries and keep this dirty money out of primaries.

But good luck getting it done when all of party leadership takes the dirty money and don't want to lose it.

We need to face the hard fact that the vast majority of "household names" in the Dem party need replaced.

Oh, so this is why Democrats are just ok with Israel. If they speak up then they will most likely be replaced.

Yes it is the money but more so the effect. They will give so much money to your opponent that you can't win. We need campaign finance reform in order to get anything done. Big money holds this country hostage.

Campaign reform is necessary but it will never happen under Democrats or Republicans. The people benefiting from the bribes aren't going to turn off their own faucet.

AIPAC has already squashed dissenting members such as Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush from the Democratic party.
