I hope they'll keep the smaller format too, it's easy to carry and install while traveling.

I was very happy with Chromecast until last year, when they replaced the screensaver of family photos (from Google Photos) with ads. So I replaced all of the Chromecasts in our house with Apple TVs.

God that is so dystopian it's almost funny. I yave a shield for years now and i still like it a lot, but i feel like they start to push it a bit. My next step is probably to try to run linux on it, or one of them mini pc's

As someone who's using a Chromecast but misses the speed and quality of their Roku Ultra (fuck Roku), I'm looking forward to one of these.

Have you tried an Onn. 4K TV box from Walmart? Only about $20, uses Google TV, but is much faster than any Chromecast that I've ever tried.

No, never heard of them. Will take a gander, thanks!
