The Boost for Reddit app still worked for a while after the big shutdown with workarounds, like creating a mod account or using revanced.

Not anymore, as of today, the Boost for Reddit app is completely 100% dead now.

The only 3rd party reddit app I know that is still free is RedReader. Might be others too.

Sucks they refuse to let up on the API ban but it's cool, we needed to get off reddit anyway.

My doom scrolling is way down over the past year.

I feel like Lemmy is not very active though, unfortunately. Or maybe I'm on the wrong Lemmy and not subscribed to enough communities or whatever they call sublemmies.
