Is this a reference to HAL? Otherwise I'm a little lost...

The lower frame depicts AGIMUS, sentient computer with the tendency to take enslave and take over the planet. He changed his color from red to blue when trying to convince the doctors at Daystrom that he had changed.

I'd bet that the red light on murderous computer is not unintentional.

Fun fact: AGIMUS was voiced by Jeffrey Combs.
