Lawns are a hell we inflicted upon ourselves. We put ourselves in charge of the dirt. We planted the grass in it. We wrote the rules which said that we're not allowed to let it grow to incorrect heights. We even invented the idea that grass can be an incorrect height!

If that's not the folly of humankind distilled into the purest possible dose, then I don't know what is
