Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.

Jerboa development is going faster than ever. The number of commits increased a lot and the project counts 10 times as much contributors as before (5 from start till a couple of weeks ago, now 53).

Thanks to the devs for putting in the hard work!

For those that don't have it, the most recent version (hasn't officially been pushed yet) can be downloaded directly from their GitHub page, and fixes a TON of bugs, and just adds a lot of QoL features. Well worth the hassle imo!

Or use fdroid with izzy's repo. Link is in the github page as well.

The main Fdroid repo is updating quickly as well (0.0.34 has been up for a few days).

~~The main Fdroid repo still just shows me 0.0.33.~~ Ditto the Play Store.

NVM. I had to enable "show beta updates" in Fdroid before it would show me 0.0.34.

Interesting, I don't think I even have that option and don't remember needing to take any action there. Are you using a third-part F-Droid client?

[–] Someology@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Nope. I'm using the standard F-Droid client from f-droid.org. But, hopefully my comment may help someone else with the same odd issue.
