a) I mean I dislike Reddit (the company) but I won't cheer for a ransomware group.

b) If it was in support of the protests, they could've simply released the data but they are still trying to negotiate with Reddit about deleting it.

depends if its internal data or user data. internal data i'm 100% in favor of being leaked.

I'm not against the leak of interna but I don't think these are the best conditions. A data dump from a failed blackmail won't help anyone.
